In this special day I invite all who live in this city to become aware and inspire individuals to become active participants to protect and preserve the environment, also I invite our leaders to promote this day with more activities in such a way to involve everyone in the care of the city and the earth.

The Environment of the city of Barranquilla has suffered much damage, but there is still time to make it change. Barranquilla needs the help of everyone. If we all just puts a little effort to help conserve and doing good things to the environment it could really make a difference. It´s necessary to promote harmony with nature and Earth. We must always remember that everything man needs for his survival comes from the earth.
